To work with cloud technology, it is a must to work with anything but legacy systems or personnel.

From the very beginning, ALAAN team endorsed such perception to win the best out of the cloud. Taking at a look at the very abstract design of a datacenter, it is seen in twofold:

  1. Inside the datacenter rack
  2. Outside the datacenter rack

To get a bit clearer, there are components that facilitate functionality outside the rack and others that do it inside the rack. However, there are ones that overlap and provide functionality inside and outside alike. Datacenter rack is a steel framework that houses servers, network equipment and cables. It is the largest of its kind in terms of dimensions.

A major component that does that is networking that provides interconnectivity across the datacenter, both inside and outside racks. ALAAN’s choice of networking provider is Huawei CloudFabric 3.0. It is an autonomous driving network (ADN) technology that emerges to address the rapid network complexity of datacenters demands, cloud datacenters in particular.

ADN is a solution that automatically converts service needs into network models and languages via deep self-learning. Leveraging AI and knowledge inference, the solution can detect network status in real time, predict network risks, precisely identify root causes of network faults, and automatically rectify faults. The resulting benefits include minimizing network faults and maximizing network operations and maintenance (O&M) efficiency. The solution stands out with high automation level, self-healing, and self-optimization, and is ideal for achieving network self-evolution and autonomy.

Autonomous driving networks are categorized into levels L0 to L5. Each level has different key capabilities and features, covering the entire lifecycle from network planning and construction to maintenance and optimization.

According to the index evaluation system for data center autonomous driving networks, Tolly Group has conducted over 150 index tests spanning 39 subcategories in six categories (planning and design, deployment and provisioning, service provisioning, monitoring and troubleshooting, network change, and parameter adjustment) across the four phases (Day 0, Day 1, Day 2, and Day N) of the data center lifecycle.
